Scripture reveals one unified design: God’s eternal purpose in Jesus Christ. This purpose begins in creation, unfolds through covenant and promise, is fulfilled in the Cross and resurrection, and extends into the ages to come.

Theology is often reduced to personal salvation alone, as though God’s aim were merely the rescue of individuals from a broken world. Yet the Bible presents a far greater scope—an eternal purpose in Christ that embraces heaven and earth, orders principalities and powers, and forms a redeemed people brought into participation in His life.

At the center of this purpose stands the identity of Christ Himself. When Jesus asked, “Whom say ye that I am?” Peter’s confession—“Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”—reveals not only who He is, but the axis upon which God’s design turns.

Everything presented on this site—Canon, studies, devotions, and the Watchman study companion—flows from that confession. The aim is disciplined attention to the unity of Scripture in Christ and clarity regarding humanity’s place within God’s eternal design.

The name “The Watchman” reflects that calling: to attend carefully to the Word of God and to declare its coherence without drawing attention to the individual behind it.
